End of the day …

#The100DayProject

We have been parked up in the same spot for the past couple of days. Not a soul in sight. The gentle lapping of water at the edges, along with the distant call of shorebirds our only company.

Morning. Long shadows slowly reducing in size. The heat of the midday sun forcing us into he shade of the van. A quick refreshing dip in the crystal clear water.

Back to the van for a spot of lunch, which is mostly salad these days – no need to add to the heat by cooking hot food. Later, a rich dark coffee, although I’m now regretting our decision to leave the freezer component to our fridge back in Ireland. An iced coffee would prove very refreshing right about now.

Later, as the sun starts to lower in the sky and the long shadows return, we shuffle ourselves back out into the open, relishing in the last heat of the day.

Slowly, she slips below the horizon.

As we close the sliding door on another slow paced van day, we ask ourselves the plan for tomorrow.

“More of the same?”

Until next time, Happy Pixels ..
